Approach

Police Scotland has provided assistance to the Sri Lanka Police Service since 2013. This assistance has been funded by the UK Conflict, Stability, and Security Fund (CSSF).

This overarching programme is aimed at developing institutional capacity within the Sri Lanka Police Service (SLPS) to provide modern, dynamic training relative to the context of post conflict Sri Lanka.

The British High Commission has also engaged a third party ‘The Asia Foundation’ (TAF) to work in partnership with us on a wide range of activity to support the continued development and professionalism of the Sri Lanka Police Service.
